Steve French

Steve French is associate pastor at Harmony Community Church.

     Steve is married to Jan (Smith), and the couple met and married in Johnson City, TN.  They are blessed with two adult children: Tim and Christine.  He is retired from the United States Air Force. He and his wife have made middle Georgia home.  He and his wife feel incredibly connected to the Harmony Community Church family.

Steve received his B.S. in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University; a Master’s in Christian Studies for Pastoral Ministry from Grand Canyon University; and a Doctorate from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology.

Dallas Smith

Dallas Smith is the Youth and Music Minister at Harmony. Prior to working at Harmony, he was a high school Social Studies teacher and tennis coach. He greatly enjoys getting to fellowship with youth and seeing them grow in their relationships with Jesus. He also has a heart for worship and desires to help people seek God through music and the arts.

Dallas is blessed with an amazing wife, Candy, and they have two daughters, Mabry and Maggie (and a dog, Tip). Dallas and Candy have been a part of Harmony since moving back from college in 2010. They have grown as a couple and as a family during that time and they most definitely have grown in their love of Jesus.

Terry Hendrix

Terry Hendrix is founding and senior pastor of Harmony Community Church, which launched in 2005.  He grew up as the youngest of four children, on a farm near Statesboro, GA.  Terry is married to Debbie (Kerry, of Kingsland, GA), whom he met through Fellowship of Christian Athletes, at Georgia Southern. They have been blessed with two daughters: Madison, who is with the Lord, and Meredith, who is in 9th grade. Terry enjoys spending time with family & friends, great comedy, music: listening, singing, playing instruments, and creating, building and growing things.  He received his B.A. in Biblical Studies with languages, at Criswell College, in Dallas, TX; an M. Div. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS), in Wake Forest, NC; and a Doctorate, also from SEBTS.

Terry and DebbieHe and his family feel incredibly fortunate to be sharing life, friendship, and ministry with the Harmony Community Church family, within the middle Georgia community. It’s been an amazing, surprising adventure for us all—a very priceless gift from God.

Debbie Hendrix

Debbie Hendrix is our pastor’s spouse.  Terry & Debbie met through FCA at Georgia Southern, Statesboro.  They have two daughters:  Madison, who is with the Lord, and Meredith, who is in the 9th grade.  Debbie has a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, NC. She completed doctoral coursework in marriage & family counseling, Denver Seminary, CO (ABD).  Her work experience has included child & adolescent therapy and directing a county mental health system.  Debbie began working with Harmony’s kids when we launched in 2005, and is amazed and encouraged every week by all God has done in our church family.  The Lord continues to bring gifted and spiritually passionate people to the Children’s Ministry Team, and we are so grateful.
